These photos aren't really for any informational purposes, I just thought they were interesting. They were taken in Guthrie County, Iowa, around 5:00 PM on June 27, 1997, by Lesli Dorr. This storm didn't cause any severe weather in her area, but is believed to have done so later as it continued to develop near Des Moines. Lesli says that the best element is missing from these pictures - at the time she took them, she just happened to be listening to the soundtrack from the movie "Twister."
